Search for the missing detail, not every detail at once.
If you already know the item, add the one thing the row fails to show: a size chart, a sole photo, the original source or packed dimensions. Short searches are easier to judge and easier to revise.
Start with what you already know
If all you have is an old sheet or bookmark, begin with the item name and category. Add “Wegobuy spreadsheet” only when you are trying to identify the original list or understand how the link was presented.
Labels such as “best,” “updated” or “2026” do not make a result current. Open a few links, check the visible review date and confirm that the item details still match. A recent title attached to broken links is not useful.
Agent names can be easy to confuse, especially when spellings are similar. The shopping agent name guide lists common names and the checks to make before opening an account or following an old link.
Some instructions describe a service flow that may no longer work. Read the dated Wegobuy status note before relying on steps that require the original site.
Tracing a source: Yupoo, Taobao, Weidian or 1688
Find the photo catalog
Useful when the spreadsheet shows images but no clear listing. Look for a route from the album to the actual item page.
Trace a marketplace listing
Compare the title, options, seller details and images with the spreadsheet summary.
Inspect a storefront listing
Check the options and make sure the item number still matches the saved row.
Read supplier details
Watch for minimum quantities, variant rules and wording meant for wholesale buyers.
The platform name tells you what kind of page you may reach. It does not confirm that the listing is current or that the seller is reliable, so compare the destination with the row before saving it.
Let the category decide what to add
For shoes, try adding “size chart,” “sole photo” or “packed weight.” For hoodies, chest width, length, fabric and print detail are usually more helpful. For bags, look for dimensions, interior photos, strap length and hardware close-ups.
Start with the product type, then add a feature you can check. This keeps an attractive name or image from deciding the whole comparison.
The category guide has a short inspection list for each product type.
Add the detail you still need
QC photos
Add “QC photos” when the listing lacks the angle you need. The result should show the actual detail and be tied to the same item or option.
Size chart and measurements
For clothing and footwear, add the exact measurement you need. Check how it was taken instead of relying on a familiar size label.
Shipping weight
Add “packed weight” or “dimensions” when parcel size could change the cost. Treat calculator results as rough estimates until the parcel is measured.
Original link or image search
Add “original link” when a formatted address hides the source. If you use an image-search tool, check its privacy terms before uploading a personal photo.
Five searches you can adapt
Replace “category” with the item you are checking. Change only one part at a time so you can tell which addition improved the results.
| What you need | Try this | What to check next |
|---|---|---|
| Understand a category | Wegobuy spreadsheet + category | Write down the measurements, photos and weight details that matter for that item. |
| Trace a source | category + Taobao / Weidian / 1688 / Yupoo | Compare the source title, options and images with the spreadsheet row. |
| Check fit | category + size chart + measurements | Compare the measurement points with an item you already own. |
| Check construction | category + QC photos + detail | Look for the exact view you need, such as the sole, lining, hardware or closure. |
| Check parcel size | category + packed weight + dimensions | Record what is known and mark the rest as unknown until the parcel is measured. |
Change one thing at a time. Add a material, measurement or construction detail if the results are too broad. Remove a platform name if the results become too narrow.
What a link converter can and cannot do
A converter attempts to reveal the original address behind a formatted or redirected link. It can be convenient, but it may drop an item number, selected option or other part of the URL.
wego-buy does not provide a converter. If you use one elsewhere, compare the destination domain, item number and selected options with the original link before continuing.
Keep a short search log
Write down the phrase that worked, the date you checked it and the item page you kept. This takes less than a minute and makes it much easier to notice a changed destination or repeat the same search later.
How to check whether a result is still useful
A recent year in a title is only a freshness claim. Use visible evidence before treating a row or article as current.
- The destination opens and still describes the same item category.
- The visible options, measurements and images agree with the saved note.
- The page shows a usable update, publish or inspection date—or you record the date you checked it.
- Any price, weight or availability statement is treated as changeable third-party information.
- A broken or redirected link is removed rather than silently replaced with a guess.
Freshness is a maintenance task. A small shortlist with checked dates is more useful than a large sheet whose links have not been revisited.
Bad search habits to avoid
- Adding every source, category and checking term to one query.
- Searching only for “best” and treating ranking language as evidence.
- Assuming “2026” in a title proves the underlying links are fresh.
- Opening many unrelated categories and comparing them on price alone.
- Using converter output without checking the destination and item identifier.
- Treating QC-photo availability as proof of seller or product quality.
Try a focused Findsindex search
Use a neutral category and a concrete checking need. Search opens a third-party site.
